On September 11th, Patti Lynn Bongiorno sat in her Dallas
living room and watched in horror as terrorists destroyed the World Trade
Center in New York. She knew that a family member, the mother of two young
girls, was at work in the South tower. In the days that followed, Patti
rarely moved from the TV as she waited for survivors to be rescued from
the rubble. On September 15th, she realized there would be no survivors and
wrote, "Where Does A Mom's Love Go?" for the two little girls whose Mom
would never come home again.
"Moms who know they are dying leave tapes and
letters for their children to open on special ocdasions such as birthdays,
graduations and weddings. The moms who were killed that day never had a
chance to leave behind those gifts."
This book carries the message of
hope for all children that have lost their mother. "'Where Does a Mom's
Love Go?' belongs on every family's bookshelf. Children of all ages will
find the illustrations visually appealing and the gentle text reassuring.
In these troubled times, Bongiorno's book brings us closer together and
reaffirms the strength of the human spirit."

On April 25th, Patti donated 300 of the
books to the New York Salvation Army, specifically to comfort the children
who lost their mothers in the September 11th tragedy. She did this with the promise
that if they needed more, she would provide them all with copies. It is
this kind and comforting spirit that makes this book a true Mother's Day
tribute. "Where Does a Mom's Love Go?" is available for purchase
online right now.
